How far the city lights skim space.
Distant presumptions of occupation
and life- yet there is no necessary link
between light and life.
With so many lights on
you could forget the dark
that's always there
and unknowing-
better to assume the lights
are on for someone.

I'm trying to let language allow the space for definition- implication is the only route...my pursuit of essence through language was futile...so your comment is greatly appreciated.
